This policy explains how Lifeway Care Ltd uses personal information when you use
lifewaycare.co.uk and related features (for example contact or newsletter requests). It is
intended for visitors and enquirers. Processing is subject to the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK
GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are
Lifeway Care Ltd (company number
12287283) is registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is Unit 6B, Parkside Lane, Leeds,
LS11 5SF, United Kingdom.
We are the data controller for the processing described in this policy. We have not appointed
a Data Protection Officer under Article 37 UK GDPR; for privacy matters please contact
info@lifewaycare.co.uk or
admin@lifewaycare.co.uk, write to the registered office, or use
our contact page.
Under UK law, many organisations that process personal data must pay a fee to the Information Commissioner’s
Office (ICO) unless an exemption applies. The ICO publishes a searchable
register of fee payers.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to personal data we collect through this website (including when you
browse or use the contact forms (secure HTTPS submission to our systems), the home page newsletter form, or
follow links to third-party services). It
does not replace the detailed
privacy or fair-processing information we provide to people who use our regulated care services, our
staff, or job applicants, which is handled under separate arrangements and contracts.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Contact, newsletter and testimonial suggestions
Contact and testimonial forms on the contact page are protected by
a shared Google reCAPTCHA check before you can submit either form, to reduce automated abuse.
Google processes certain technical data in line with
Google’s privacy policy.
When you submit a form, your information is sent over HTTPS to systems we control; we then
deliver it to our team by email using our mail provider (SMTP). The details you enter (for example name,
email, telephone, post code, optional enquiry text, optional marketing preference, or testimonial wording) are
processed for the purpose of responding to you or handling your request.
Newsletter signup on the home page is submitted with HTTPS to
FormSubmit (Devro Labs), which forwards the request to our inbox at
info@lifewaycare.co.uk. FormSubmit acts as a
processor on our instructions. Their service may show automated checks (including Google
reCAPTCHA) when you submit. Their privacy information is published at
formsubmit.co/privacy.
You must tick the consent box before signing up; that records your agreement to receive email marketing
about our services.
3.2 Cookie / storage notice
When you respond to the banner at the foot of the site, we save your choice in browser local
storage under the key lifewaycare_cookie_choice so we do not keep showing the banner
every time you visit. That storage is not used for advertising profiles. You can remove it at any time using
your browser’s option to clear site data for lifewaycare.co.uk.
We do not currently load third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics) or advertising
pixels on this site. Google reCAPTCHA loads on the contact page when you use the enquiry or testimonial
forms, and may set cookies or use similar storage. If we change how we use cookies or similar technologies,
we will update this policy and the banner wording and will obtain consent where the law requires it before
loading non-essential technologies.
3.3 Fonts and third-party content
We load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files, Google may receive
technical data such as IP address and browser type. See
Google’s privacy policy.
Some pages include links or embedded content from others (for example Google Maps, WhatsApp, or image hosts).
Those services are offered by their respective operators under their own terms and privacy policies.
3.4 Technical and hosting logs
Like most websites, the systems that deliver this site may automatically log technical information (for
example IP address, date and time, browser type, and pages requested) for security, reliability and aggregate
statistics. Our hosting supplier processes that information as a processor on our
instructions. Logs are kept only for as long as needed for those purposes, typically a limited rolling period
unless a longer retention is justified (for example to investigate abuse).
4. How we use your information and lawful bases
We use personal data for the following purposes, relying on the UK GDPR lawful bases shown:
Responding to enquiries and delivering our services — legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f))
in operating our business and communicating with prospective clients, and where relevant steps at your
request prior to entering a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
Email marketing where you tick the newsletter consent box on the home page — consent
(Article 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us or using any unsubscribe mechanism we
provide in those messages.
Remembering your banner choice — legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) in presenting the
site clearly and avoiding repeated interruption, balanced against your control to clear storage in your
browser.
Security, fraud prevention and legal obligations — legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) where
applicable, otherwise legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not use solely automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
5. How long we keep information
Emails you send us: we keep them for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any
follow-up, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case of further questions (typically up to
24 months after our last meaningful contact unless a longer period is required for legal,
regulatory or insurance reasons).
Marketing: if you opt in to marketing, we keep your contact details for that purpose until you
withdraw consent or we stop that activity, and for a short period afterwards as a suppression record so we do
not contact you again by mistake.
Technical logs: retained according to our host’s configuration and our security needs, as
described in section 3.4.
6. Sharing and international transfers
We do not sell personal data. We may share it with professional advisers, insurers, regulators, or IT and
communications suppliers where that is necessary to run the business or meet legal duties. Those recipients
must keep information confidential and use it only for the purpose we specify.
Some suppliers may process data outside the UK. Where UK law requires safeguards for a transfer that is not
covered by UK adequacy regulations, we use appropriate mechanisms such as the UK International Data Transfer
Agreement or Addendum, or other approved arrangements.
A short description of the categories of processors we use (for example hosting, email) is
available on request.
7. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to: request access to your personal
data; ask us to correct inaccurate data; ask us to erase data; request
restriction of processing; object to processing based on legitimate
interests; request data portability where processing is automated and based on consent or
contract; and withdraw consent where we rely on consent (without affecting earlier lawful
processing).
You can exercise these rights by contacting us using section 1. We will respond within one calendar
month in line with ICO guidance (extensions may apply for complex requests).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO:
ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. We would welcome the chance to resolve your concern first.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we hold. Email and
the open internet are not completely secure; please avoid sending confidential health or financial information
by email unless you have agreed a secure channel with us.
9. Children
This website is not aimed at collecting data from children. If you are concerned that a child’s information
has been shared with us inappropriately, please contact us at once using the details in section 1. Where we
deliver care to families, safeguarding duties apply and are handled under our operational policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The “Last updated” date will be revised and,
where changes are material, we may add a short notice on the website.
